Why use direct printing in hospitals and medical practices?

Hospitals, doctors’ surgeries and therapy rooms have their own set of rules: hygiene, safety and regular cleaning. Framed pictures and acrylic glass elements are a compromise here — edges collect dust, glass can break, and fitted parts can come loose. Direct UV printing avoids all of this: the image is applied directly to the wall, without a frame, without glass and without any detachable elements.

• Washable and resistant to disinfectants — the UV-sealed surface can withstand daily cleaning.
• No attachments — nothing to tear off, nothing to fall off. Suitable for paediatric wards, psychiatric wards and public waiting areas.
• Odourless once cured — the inks are completely inert after UV curing.
• No disruption to renovation work — Printing is available on site outside office hours. The rooms remain open.

Wayfinding and signage

Wayfinding is an integral part of patient care within a hospital building. A wayfinding system comprising printed pictograms guides patients and visitors from the entrance to the treatment room — printed directly onto the walls and floor, making it permanent and eliminating the need for signs that might come loose or need replacing.

Waiting rooms, paediatric surgeries, therapy rooms: calming images help to ease tension — a flower-filled meadow in the morning light, Zen stones in the mist, a coral reef on the floor. Directly printed, with visible depth created by light and shadow, without frames or glass.
